Yes I'm that mom, I have bins upon bins of clothes that I cant "bear" to get rid of. To me, making $.50 at a garage sale or consignment store isn't worth me getting rid of well, anything at this point. When my second son was born, it really hit me, I can remember occasions, dates, and events, when these little mini people clothes were worn. I can look at a outfit and remember taking a picture in that monster onsie, or blue stripped polo. I tell myself oh "ill hold onto it just in case we have another", or "maybe, so and so will have a boy" or the old, "ill give it to the grandkids" that are at least 20ish years away. Yes I own that I am a baby clothes hoarder!
With all that being said, I was beyond excited when I came across Raspberry Creeks etsy page (http://www.etsy.com/shop/RaspberryCreek).
She puts all these cute baby clothes to life, literarily, by turning them into adorable little bears!
I choose a few of Nugs memorable outfits and sent them her way. The little bear we got back was too cute for words!
Bear got to play trains |
Hes getting kisses |
And playing outside |
She used 5 different onsies to create our bear friend.
He is super soft and perfect size for little Nug.
Thank you Maureen at Raspberry Creek for helping this baby clothes hoarder find a solution for the massive amount of baby clothes I can't let go of! It was wonderful working with you!
With the holidays right around the corner this would make a excellent Christmas gift. It would also be neat for older kids using school shirts or team uniforms.
You can visit Rasberry Creeks Etsy shop here
or her facebook page here
She also makes other items at her shop

I too am a baby clothes horder! I would probably go with favorite outfits from her 1st year. Maybe holiday clothes from the year but I'd really have to lay everything out and think about it!
ReplyDeleteIt was a hard decision!!!
DeleteHi. My name is Amanda, and I , too, am a baby clothes hoarder. I think I would go with a couple of her monogrammed onesies from that first year. LOVE this idea! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHello Amanda ;)
DeleteI would probably use the smallest of her clothing, especially a purple cupcake onsie. :)
ReplyDeletesmall is good!
DeleteI would include all the onesies/gowns/burpclothes that have my child's monogram...a monogram bear would be so cute, and I have no idea what else to do with all those super sweet personalized things! Such a cool idea!
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea!
DeleteIf I win I think I'll take a couple onesies from each of my kids and ask for a bear, but I'm keeping the bear for myself lol
ReplyDeleteawe that would be such a special bear!
DeleteCute idea! I would probably use a mix of favorite newborn items from my 1 yr old and 17 yr old.
ReplyDeleteOr order two :)
DeleteI've been saving special clothes to make a blanket or something, but the bear is adorable. I have a set of newborn onesies that were my favorites, so I'd probably use those!
ReplyDeleteIts so hard to throw them away! or sell or give away....
DeleteI would totally include this blue onesy that says "Little Man of the House" since I adore my 2 little men and I want to be able to keep that shirt always.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, I know exactly what clothes I would use :D

ReplyDeleteI swear I already commented but here goes! I have some special baby clothes I'd send in, the pink "brand new" onesie my daughter came home in, the purple polka dot one with the owl, the green daisy one... I would have a hard time narrowing it down!
