Wish List Ornament. 

Ok so I was able to complet 2 of the 100's of Christmas pins I have.

Bought a 6 pack of clear bulbs from Michales craft store $5.99 with a 40% off coupons. Printed a wish list for both boys and taa dad.. Instant memory!

Love how these turned out!

Birdseed Christmas Ornaments

Ive been a total slacker this year! I usually have Christmas cards ordered and shipped beginning of Dec, this year I sent out a week before. I had all these wonderful pins posted on my pinterest board and tons of activities planed for our elf "Foddle", he moved every night, but there was no real mysterious activity. I did however complete one of my pins!!! Yay!!!! 

I wanted to do something the boys could give to family on Christmas, so we went with Ornaments made from birdseed.

Our inspiration was this picture, the link on our pinterest didn't go instructions.
So we googled to find ingredients.

What you will need is

- 1 packed un flavored gelatin

- 1/2 cup HOT h2o

- 3 tablespoons corn syrup

- 3/4 white flour

- 4 cups birdseed

- cookie cutters

- non stick spray

- wax paper

- straw

Mix Gelatin, h2o, and corn syrup in a large bowl. Mix in flour and seeds in a large bowl till all mixture is same consistency. 

Spray cookie cutters with non stick spay and place wax paper on large tray. Spoon mixture into the cookie cutters pressing into side. 

using the straw make a hole, (I recommend the middle of the shape so it won't weaken.)

Easy as that! Let it sit for a few hrs and add string..

We also collected pinecones but by the time we got to them the mixture was starting to harden so it didn't stick very well...

The boys decided the birds would like some grass so that was added too ;)

At the end we ran out of cookie cutter and just made balls, Im hoping the birds wont mind.

Nailed it!!!!

 Both of my boys love playing "cooking", its not rare if you come to visit you will get made a egg, lettuce and strawberry sandwich" We can now add bacon, orange slice, and pancake complete with syrup and butter, to the list at Diner Nu and Nug. 

Someone was enjoying the bacon a little too much!

Sadie's Cottage Review and Giveaway

OMG Sadie's Cottage is amazing!!!

I didn't even mention the fact that Nu was a train freak, and she somehow made the perfect hat for his personality. She took note of all the giraffes for Nug and made him a amazing, wonderful hat as well. 

Sadies Cottage made us a beautiful hat for big brother. The grey body and red trim is great for winter clothes. There is a red and black button and also a train button which Big Brother LOVED. I took the boys for a walk and we found a field nearby. He also insisted on wearing his hat the rest of the day despite the 80 + weather here in Florida. 

Little Bro is a known giraffe fan, and Sadie's Cottage nailed it! He was so cute when he opened his hat and immediately noticed the "Raffie" bead. The brown yarn is mixed cream and black speaks, there is a cream button and back button also attached.
