DIY Fleece Tag Blanket

We recently moved lil Bro into a big boy bed.. Sniff sniff. The problem is its a very themed bed.

And I cant find firetruck crib sheets for a less than a $20 price tag..
Big bro has a fleece tie blanket and I figured how hard could it be, well thanks to pinteret no DIY project is too hard to conquer!

I took a trip to Hobby Lobby, without a coupon! but still was able to grab a yard of red fleece and a yard of firetruck themed fleece for about $13

The best thing about this blanket is its NO SEW!!

1. Line up the 2 layers and trim the edges

2. Cut strips the entire length, about 2 inches, remember the more you cut the smaller your blanket becomes.

3. Tie knots.. I tied a line at a time, I even had a "helper" wake up from his nap.

 More "helping"

5. Ok so for the edges you don't have to make slits the entire length because you take your scissors and just cut this square off!

And thats it!
A couple tips, do not tie to tight or it will make it more circle shaped.
I saw some that said tie like a balloon but it made the knots harder where if you just do 2 regular ties they stayed soft.
Id day it is a hit!!!

Anyone with kids knows you need a highchair, a travel high chair, a bumbo chair, plus the tray, and a chair for Grandmas house, and you cant forget the chair you take to restaurants. Its madness the amount of "crap" you have to lug around. Im probably missing a couple others!

Boogie Down with your Boogie self

Lets face it NO ONE likes a boogie nose, you don't want your kids to have one, touch one, or play with the kid that has one. Its also so sad to see your own, with a boogie nose, because the more boogies, the redder, and rawer the nose.
Boogie wipes are great for the attack of the boogies, the extra soft material, with the gentle, natural saline, does not leave their little noses raw like TP or paper towels. I was also unaware they actually come in various scents like grape and menthol.

Check out the product list available

We were recently contacted by a member of the anti boogie squad, aka a Saline Ambassator and asked if we would like to try a few products.. Of course my answer was "YES please" :)

I have heard and bought boogie wipes previously at target during the winter time when it seems everyone gets affected by the cold bug, and I do like their product. I was however unaware of the variety

The products we received included, Hand sanitizer, a diaper bag/purse/car/life must have! A pack of  Kandoo flushable wipes, also a must, and I don't think I need to explain why ;)
A shower sponge, which is awesome! We have 1 that we use for both boys now, and why we do not have 1 per kid prior to this I'm not quite sure, but Nug now has his own and he likes the little froggy dude.

We also recieved 2 packs of Boogie wipes, the natural scent and the grape scent. I know the name is "Boogie" wipes but I used them this morning for Jelly fingers and I know Dirt hands will appreciate and post chicken holding hands will also use these up!

They also have a neat thing on the website where you can take the pledge to "Save The Sleeve". 1000 winners will be selected to win a neat prize pack!
Check it out at

Would you like to win a body scrubber, 2 pack of wipes, sanitizer, and sample packs to share with your boogie heads???

Super easy! Head over to
Like their page, so you can stay up to date on their great offers
Then let us know below you did.
1 winner will receive the products mentioned above!

Dont forget to take the Save the Sleeve pledge and enter Nu and Nugs giveaway :)

Thank you Boogie Wipes for hosting our giveaway and keeping our little ones clean, and red nose free.

Ikea wine rack repurposed to a lightsaber holder

Does anyone else use Facebook to buy and sell???
There is a huge new movement of moms using facebook to post, name their price, and meet in local, safe areas with other moms. I personally am on a few different groups via facebook and have both sold and bought.

Some of the lingo includes
ISO = In search of
Int = interested
PM me = Private message me
PPU= Pending pick up

Most of the time you have to know someone to get "invited" into this secret club. This to keep it safer, its kinda a, know someone, who knows someone thing.

You can search for your town on facebook and you might get local.

Soooo ask around if not start a movement, take some picts name your price and meet in a parking lot working around nap times and school pickups!
Virtual yard sale without the hassle of sitting out front all day letting you items go for pennys!!

This being said, my latest purchase is definitely pinterest worthy in my option. I don't think its a secret to my Nu and Nug followers, our young Padawan's, Nu and Nug are becoming more and more Star Wars junkies.
Currently our lightsaber count is up to 4, and its a universe rule one must know where ones weapon is at all times! Sooooo when I saw the following item posted for, wait for it,  FIVE DOLLARS, my mommy mind went straight to
LIGHTSABER HOLDER!!! AHHHHHHHHHH
which is a sign of what a grown up I am now since its a WINE HOLDER!!

Taaaa Daaaaa!!!
 Easy access, safe and fits great!!
