Vintage Train Party

My oldest turned 4 on St Patty's Day. I usually start the Birthday party planning process after Christmas, and this year he picked trains. This is actually the second time we have done trains (we did choo choo I'm 2, in 2011).
I wanted to go for a big boy train party this year so used "Vintage Trains" as the theme.

We knew we wanted to have a train come to the house and we used

The train was a huge hit.
We ordered Conductor and Engineer hats from Oriental Trading Co.
I tried to do a mix of DIY and purchased products.

Our invites came from Luc and Lilah Events, they offer couture printable invitations and paper products.
I blocked out our address and phone number, the actual invite is more centered :)

We used Bug A Boo designz for the printable package. I loved the chevron print and the vintage look of the train.

We used her printables everywhere!!

Fuel Car

lollipop favors
Choo Choo water
Juice boxes
Banner
Food table tents
Mason Jar drinks
Straws were made by the fabulous shop The Party Penguin

We served "Bar-B-Choo pork sandwiches
And "Cams Corn"
I used dollar store containers to make a produce car, with strawberries,
a coal car with Oreo cookies/marshmallow mixture, and a log car with pretzels .

Accent signs were provided by Sittin on a Cloud

My sister Jessie-Cate Sheehy painted the backdrop for the drink table! Turned out PERFECT! She used the printable's as inspiration and added hidden details like his age and monogram to the front of the engine.

Favor bags were from Crafty Clementines
Inside contained a wooden train whistle and a bag of "gold" bubble gum from Oriental Trading Co.

GLOB Review and Giveaway Offer

Its rare that Florida does not lend its self to sunshine, warm weather and beautiful days. Today is one of the rare exceptions, its COLD, not snowing, freezing hail, snow boot cold, but, gasp, non flip flop 30's-40's outside. I know, we are spoiled but Nu, Nug and Momma are not used to this "freezing" weather.  So we decided to make it a inside day. Sometimes its nice to just stay home and play in our PJ's all day. So today March 4th is "PJ Painting Day"!! We decided to open up our Glob Natural Paint Kit.

These paints are AMAZING! they are non-toxic, and made from a variety of different fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs. There are no artificial dyes or chemicals. They are also made in the U.S.A and even the packaging materials are chosen with the environment in mind. Each paint has its own aroma and they suggest you "paint with your eyes, smell with your nose".

A little goes a long way, it just required a touch of powder mixed with h20 and off we went.

The colors are very vibrant and the bamboo brushes are great quality.

The boys loves smelling the wonderful different scents, here is Nug sniffing some berry blue. Each paint has its own aroma like tangerine, basil green and pomegranate.

The clean up was super easy and no stained fingers or tables!

Our finished masterpieces! Earth friendly and earth tones ;)

You can check out GLOB on Facebook here
or their website here

They also have a great kit just for Easter Egg dying.

One lucky reader can pick up one of Globs all natural products for 50% off, all you have to do to enter is visit Globs facebook page and let them know Nu and Nug sent you!
Winner will be selected 3/11 at noon!

here is the facebook link one more time for GLOB
